In order to easily manage the granting and revocation of access rights to the devices of an information system, a centralized solution is essential. Directories (LDAP, Active Directory, etc.) provide solutions that are satisfactory on paper, but which have two major limitations: Older equipments that are not necessarily compatible with directory authentication, and the directories themselves that are generally populated for internal users (link to HR file), but that do not generally provide for the management of external users.

OPTIMUM ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

With WAB, an internal or external administrator is referenced by the WAB administrator, who grants him/her access rights for the equipments he/she needs to manage. The administrator authenticates himself/herself on WAB and selects the equipment he/she wishes to log onto. He/she does not know the corresponding password as it is wabired that establishes the connection after checking the user's access rights.

If the administrator leaves the company, his/her authentication on WAB is simply disabled and he/she immediately loses all possibility of access to the IS equipments.
